Metal seated NRS or RS stem gate vavles in cast iron/ductile iron are mainly used for liquid with solid particles. The sealing parts (seat assembled inside valve body working with ring of wedge) are made in Brass or bronze. It's working temperture max 325 ℃degrees for most cast iron valves . Of course, if you need higher working temperture, you can find cast steel valves which is max 425℃.
